What is #30daywc?

We use the hashtag #30daywc to share about our 30-day writing challenges and writing tips for novelists to help them plan, write, and edit their novels. It stands for “30-day writing challenge.”

Our 30-Day Writing Challenges

Why 30 days?

It can feel overwhelming to write a novel. That’s why I like to break projects down into smaller chunks.

Thirty calendar days is a chunk of time that most people can relate to. The nice thing about a month is that it can be broken down into weekly segments, daily segments, and hourly, then minute by minute.

Your only job in planning, writing, or editing your novel is to focus on the now, and the short term goal of the day’s writing. We use the package of 30 days to keep the focus on your immediate work.

You can do this.

You don’t have to write a novel, you only need to work on it today, and then today, and then today.
